He received his MSc degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of Mining Engineering, in 1994 and his PhD in 1998. He became Assistant Professor in 1999, Associate Professor in 2007, and Professor in Mining Engineering in 2013. He worked in Production Planning, Quality Control and Marketing in a private company in the marble and natural stone sector between 1992 and 1994. He served as the Founding President of the Turkish Natural Stones Mirror Technical Committee and as the Representative of the European Union Technical Committee between 2007 and 2014. He worked at Penn State University (USA) Energy and Mineral Engineering Department between 2014 and 2016. He was a member of the Advisory Board of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) Engineering Research Group between 2019 and 2022. He is the Head of the Mining Engineering Department and Director of the Futures Research Center at Afyon Kocatepe University.
Afyon Kocatepe University | He graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mining Engineering in 1997. He received his MSc in 2000 and his PhD in 2006 in the same department in Mining Division. He started his academic life as a research assistant in Hacettepe University, Department of Mining Engineering in 1997 and continued as a lecturer in Afyon Kocatepe University, İscehisar Vocational School in 2004. He graduated from the Department of Geological Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering at Süleyman Demirel University in 1994. He has been serving as a UMREK Competent Person since 2023. Prof. Dr. Ahmet YILDIZ has advised numerous undergraduate, graduate and doctoral theses on industrial raw materials, mineralogy, petrography, geochemistry, marble and geothermal and has worked as a researcher and executive in national and international projects. He has articles published in national and international journals and numerous presentations at scientific meetings. Afyon Kocatepe University | Born in 1977 in Konya, Şerife Ebru Okuyucu completed her primary and secondary education in Konya. In 2000, Şerife Ebru Okuyucu graduated from Selçuk University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Architecture and started her master's degree at Selçuk University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Architecture in 2001. After completing her master's degree in 2004, she started her doctorate education at Selçuk University Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Architecture. In 2019, Şerife Ebru Okuyucu, who was entitled to receive the title of Associate Professor, worked as an Associate Professor at Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design between 2019-2024. In 2024, Şerife Ebru Okuyucu, who was appointed as Prof. in the same department, is still working as a faculty member at Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. In 2015, Şerife Ebru Okuyucu was appointed as the Head of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design and she is still the Head of the Department. Prof. Dr. Okuyucu served as the Head of the Department of Art and Design at Afyon Kocatepe University Institute of Social Sciences between 2021-2024. Prof. Dr. Şerife Ebru Okuyucu was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2024. Şerife Ebru Okuyucu, whose fields of study are Building Information, Design Education, Interior Design, Basic Design, Semiotics in Architecture, Refunctioning, has many articles published in national and international journals, papers presented at congresses / symposiums and published books.
Afyon Kocatepe University | Prof.Dr. Mustafa Yavuz ÇELİK He was born in 1960, in Emirdağ-Afyonkarisar. He completed his primary and secondary school in Emirdağ, and high school at Akşehir Teachers’ High School in 1978. He entered the Mining Engineering Department of Eskişehir DMM Academy in 1979. He graduated from Anadolu University as a Mining Engineer in 1983. Between 1986 and 1994, he worked as a shift engineer, assistant site manager, and site manager at the pickling and coal construction sites in Tunçbilek-Tavşanlı-Kütahya. In 1994, he started as a lecturer in the Marble Technology Program of Afyon Kocatepe University, Afyon Vocational School. He completed his Master’s degree in 1996 and his doctorate at Ankara University, Department of Geological Engineering, in 2003. He received the title of Assistant Professor in 2003, Associate Professor in mining engineering in 2016, and Professor in 2021. He has conducted over 110 scientific studies on marble and natural building stones published in domestic and international journals and presented at various conferences. He graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University, Department of Mining Engineering, and he received his M.Sc degree from Eskişehir Anadolu University and his PhD from Dokuz Eylül University. After graduation, he worked in the private sector for a while and has worked at Afyon Kocatepe University since 1994. At various times, he served as the Chamber of Mining Engineers Afyon provincial representative and deputy provincial representative, assistant director of a vocational high school, department head, etc. He works on marble quarry management, occupational health and safety, and decision-making techniques.

He received his PhD degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of Mining Engineering in 2011. He became an Assistant Professor in 2012 and an Associate Professor in 2020. He graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Mining Engineering, and he received his M.Sc degree from Çukurova University and his PhD from Dumlupınar University. After graduation, he worked in the private sector for a while and started working as a Research Assistant at Afyon Kocatepe University in 2002. He completed his doctorate in 2011, became an assistant professor in 2012, and an associate professor in 2020. He works on underground mining, occupational health and safety issues.

He completed his undergraduate degree in 2014 at Afyon Kocatepe University, Department of Mining Engineering. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 1992 and obtained his master's degree in 2000. After receiving a scholarship from the Turkish Coal Enterprises, he started working at the Central Anatolian Lignite Establishment in Çayırhan in 1992. He has served as Branch Manager and Head of Department at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Later, he worked as the Production Branch Manager at the TKİ Yeniköy Coal Enterprise. He is a Board Member of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of TMMOB.
Chamber of Mining Engineers of Turkey | He was born in Afyonkarahisar on 27.01.1980. He graduated from Osmangazi University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Mining Engineering in 2007. He worked as a mining engineer at Alimoğlu Mining Industry and Trade Inc. between 2007-2010. He worked as the technical supervisor and production and coordination officer of various marble quarries within the company. Between 2010 and 2015, he continued his engineering and consultancy activities in the General Directorate of Mining Affairs and related institutions and organizations of various companies in his engineering company, Batı Maden. He also carried out core sampling studies in many marble quarries nationwide. Between 2015-2017, he carried out dimensional marble and travertine production in the marble factory he established in İscehisar/Afyonkarahisar and exported to many countries. He has worked as an A-class Occupational Safety Specialist at Umut Joint Health and Safety Unit since 2018. He is an Occupational Safety Specialist in many sectors, especially marble quarries and factories. He is currently the Afyonkarahisar provincial representative of the Chamber of Mining Engineers.

He graduated from Afyonkarahisar Education Institute as an Elementary School Teacher in 1979. İbrahim ALİMOĞLU, who has been in the marble sector since childhood, is married and has four children. Bekişoğlu, who worked as a system and project manager at Koç Holding for many years after his graduation, started to serve as the Finance Coordinator in the family business, Turan Bekişoğlu Mermer A.Ş, as of 1998. In 2009, she served as the the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors in Turan Bekişoğlu Mermer A.Ş. She pioneered the definition of the company's institutionalization and management processes, as well as the system analysis and improvement studies. Bekişoğlu is still the Chair of the Board of Directors of Martura Stones Dış Ticaret A.Ş. and Turan Bekişoğlu Marble A.Ş, and the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Marmiro Stones, founded in the USA in 1999, of which his deceased husband Turgut Bekişoğlu is the founding partner. In addition to her professional life, Funda Bekişoğlu contributes to social life and human development by taking part in various foundations, civil society organizations and social responsibility projects. After graduating from Afyon High School, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Civil Engineering Department. He entered the business world by founding the Afyonkarahisar Industrialists and Businessmen Association (AFSİAD) in 1991. Serteser, who was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Afyonkarahisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) in 2009, successfully continued four consecutive terms in ATSO.
